Great service is not an easy thing to deliver under pressure, but our shop teams do an amazing job.   We have more than 2,000 shops across the UK and each one is unique, but serving happy customers in Greggs is always rewarding.

Morning, noon or night our shops are kept busy so there's always something happening. Everyone pitches in and gets involved in a wide variety of jobs throughout the day.

We have various roles that might suit you, from Team Member to Shop Manager.

  1. Team Member

  2. Senior Team Member

  3. Supervisor

  4. Shop Manager

Team Member

As well as preparing our great tasting products to the very highest of standards, you'll be the face of Greggs, greeting our loyal customers and providing the excellent customer service we're known for.

If you’re looking for variety and love being busy, you’re in the right place.

Our Team Members get involved with everything: serving customers from the till or behind the hot counter, managing the ovens, making fresh sandwiches, stocking the shelves, and ensuring that the shop looks clean, tidy, and presentable for our customers.

It really is about rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in, doing what needs to be done to make sure every customer feels welcome and valued and leaves our shops happy with their purchase.

And don’t worry if you haven’t got any food service or retail experience. As a Team Member, we’ll give you all the training you need when you join.

Senior Team Member

Our Senior Team Members support the opening and closing of our shops. You’ll make sure the shop looks great and our freshly prepared products are ready so we can make a great impression on our customers. Cashing up and ensuring the shop is left clean, tidy, stocked, and secure, ready for the morning team is key if you’re a Senior Team Member on an evening shift.

Throughout your shift, you’ll keep everyone on track with sandwich and savoury production, and see that our high standards of quality and food safety are always maintained.

You’ll also get stuck into loads of other tasks and focus on providing the best experience for all our customers.

For this role, some supervisory experience always comes in handy although it’s not essential as we’ll support you with great training on the job.

If you’re looking to progress your career, this role is a great step to building a future with Greggs.

The role of a Supervisor is very much being the right-hand person to the Shop Manager, making sure our customers receive great products and a friendly service from a motivated team.

It’s a position with lots of responsibility, supporting the daily running and operation of the shop and the fantastic team, and taking on managerial duties for 60-80% of your shift.  Food safety, hygiene, shop standards, team training, and of course, the delivery of high quality, fresh and tasty products to our loyal customers will be your priorities. You’ll also serve our customers, seeing all their needs are met and that they’ll come back wanting more!

We’re looking for our Supervisors to have previous people/team management experience in a similar retail environment.

If you’re looking to progress your retail management career, this is an excellent opportunity to do so with a growing company. We’re always on the lookout for our next potential managers to help us open our new shops and we’ll support your development to get there.

Shop Manager

The heart and soul of the team - our Shop Managers lead the way in the smooth running of their shop. As such, you’ll develop and maintain high performing teams through recruitment, training, and engagement.

You’ll be continually improving the service your shop provides, ensuring excellent brand standards, and identifying and driving sales opportunities by chatting with colleagues and customers alike. You’ll review reports and procedures to maximise shop profit. You’ll be the face of your shop and a brand ambassador for Greggs.

We’re always on the lookout for great shop leaders, who have previous food retail management experience in a similar environment.

We’re a growing business with big ambitions, so if progressing a career in retail management is what you’re looking for we can support you.
