With 14 manufacturing and distribution sites across the UK, we’ve dozens of interesting roles that might be right up your street.
Whether you join us as an Operative, Team Leader or Supervisor in one of our manufacturing or distribution sites, you’ll play a key role in making and packing some of the nation’s much-loved products.
Operative
As an Operative you’ll play a major part in making and packing some of the nation’s much-loved products. You’ll have a passion for quality and follow all the correct processes and procedures to ensure the best products are made and our customers are satisfied. Your role will involve working with a great, close-knit team, under pressure in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Some of our supply sites operate on a 24-hour shift operation so there’s often a variety of shift options available.
What’s more, you don’t need any specific experience to join us as an Operative, we’ll give you all the training you need when you join.
Team Leader
Our Team Leaders oversee a small section of the shift operation. You’ll focus on targets and results as well as producing great food. You’ll roll your sleeves up and work with your team – mixing ingredients, baking food and slicing, packaging, picking and loading products, depending on which department you work in. You’ll have a keen eye on everyone's ability to follow food hygiene and quality procedures, not to mention health and safety guidelines.
This is a great opportunity if you're looking to develop a career within manufacturing and logistics. Ideally, you'll have had some previous experience in a similar environment, but don't worry, we'll provide you with all the training you need to do a fantastic job.
Supervisor
Our Supervisors are an essential ingredient in the smooth day-to-day running of manufacturing and distribution sites. On hand to give direction to Team Leaders and working closely with Managers, you'll ensure results are delivered and success achieved. You’ll help to create an environment of continuous improvement to make sure we remain competitive, with plenty of opportunities to directly influence the success of the operation on site.

Maintenance Engineer
Our manufacturing and distribution sites use automated and semi-automated lines to produce great products as efficiently as possible. We’re always on the lookout for skilled Maintenance Engineers to join our friendly and welcoming teams across the UK and continue their career with Greggs. You’ll be a key player in developing engineering improvements to an ever-changing environment and reacting to problems daily to make sure we can keep our shops supplied with the best products and our amazing customers happy with their favourites!
HGV Driver
Ask any of our HGV Drivers about their role and they’ll tell you it isn't just about deliveries. They play a vital part in ensuring our shops are fully stocked and that we’re able to deliver many of the nation's favourites to our loyal customers.
Whether it’s as an HGV Class 1 Driver providing bulk deliveries and collections to and from our network of sites throughout the UK, or as an HGV Class 2 Driver carrying out multi-drop deliveries to our shops, you’ll be driving one of our modern fleet of refrigerated HGVs, fitted with the latest technology and safety features, such as telematics and vehicle cameras.
We're industry leaders when it comes to our fleet, our technology and, most importantly, our training. You'll receive annual CPC and advanced driver training to support you with the demands of the roads, night-time driving and weather hazards. We’ll also make sure you receive the best training, including; tachographs, DVNC, slow manoeuvre and The Highway Code.

We know not everyone learns in the same way so we offer blended learning modules, facilitated learning, e-learning, practical tools and techniques, discussions, and the sharing of best practice and experience; so everyone can get the most out of the learning experience and is able to apply the lessons back into the workplace using real-life examples and projects.
